So you’ve decided on Waiheke Island for your wedding - wonderful! Now where do you start with finding the perfect venue?
I initially chat with you about all the types of venues on the island, including vineyards, restaurants and private properties, guided by your potential guest numbers, style and budget we then create a shortlist of potential possibilities to visit.
I can pick you up from the ferry and take you to 3-5 venues, advising on how best the venue might work for your day, plus the additional elements you might need to consider, like infrastructure you’ll need to hire, and potential suppliers you’ll need to contact.
After the viewings I can drop you back to the ferry or leave you at one of the vineyards for a wine tasting or meal.
I can then negotiate on your behalf with the venue’s proprietors regarding your specific requirements leading up to booking and confirmation of the venue.
If you are both based overseas, I can show a family member or friend around the venues on your behalf. I’ll photograph and video your shortlist options for you and advise on which will best work for your dream day.
The venue scout package is included in the Couture and Private Venue packages.
Every bride’s first port of call is Pinterest, but if you have hundreds of pictures, how do you make it all come to life? Which suppliers do you use to suit your style and budget? Where and how do you source everything on or off-island to make it a reality?
I offer design and styling advice, working with you on your Pinterest board, and then create a tailored styling plan to ensure every aspect of your day will look and feel like you.
I come with you to your venue to talk you through the possible arrangements for your wedding day, along with recommendations and key points to consider. If you’re based overseas this is even more relevant as I am very familiar with all the Waiheke Island venues and can offer more insight than any venue website.
I also offer guidance, recommendations and quotes for decor hire, lighting, specialty linen etc. I’ll negotiate the best hire rates, and freight options if applicable, with carefully vetted suppliers. I’ll also create a detailed supplier contact list with photos organising all of your decor for the day.
On the day management of deliveries, providing a full styling and setup service, is also part and parcel. This includes placement of your wedding decor, props, signage, stationery (order of service cards, name cards, table numbers, seating plan), favours, flowers, gift table, bar styling etc.
I also personally photograph all setups including many detail photos which are yours to keep. This can be especially handy if your wedding photographer is pressed for time on the day and captures limited setup before all of your guests arrive.
Packdown and returns are arranged after your wedding including flowers delivered to you or local resthomes here on the island.

Many private venues on Waiheke require a local coordinator, as stipulated by the owners. These venues often have considerable temporary infrastructure requirements such as: marquee & flooring, furniture hire, lighting, catering, staff, security, tableware & linen, chillers, generators, portaloos, rubbish & recycling, transport & parking arrangements etc etc
Having an experienced, local on-island coordinator makes all of this a stress-free, seamless experience - looking after both the couple’s and property owner’s needs.
The private venue package includes all aspects of the venue scout and couture planning package.
